Portfolio-Artists Books
I’m passionate about artist books. Form, function, design and image must work together seamlessly in my artists’ books At times I will have an image and look for a structure to enhance its meaning. At other times I am fascinated by a sculptural structure and create a photograph that will work with this structure. By combining sculptural book art techniques with photography, my two dimensional photographs have become three-dimensional photographic sculptures.
My artists’ books are in major collections around the country including Vanderbilt University, Denison University, Baylor University and the Savannah School of Art and Design. Locally they are in the Caudill Little Fine Art Library at the University of Kentucky.
